There is a BIG difference in meaning between Mustn’t and Don’t have to. Mustn’t means something is prohibited or it is not allowed. For most modal verbs, there are several uses for each of the modal verbs depending on the context and how the modal or modal auxiliary verb is being used. In the case of the modal verb MUST, there are three possible uses.
